Truth In Design

This illustrative poster was made to showcase an example of bad design with irony.

Sustainability is an ongoing issue, and design is at the forefront and directly involved in the making of some unsustainable products.
Tuna cans, despite being stored in a tin can are often wrapped in plastic, creating unnecessary waste given its already formidable packaging.

I wanted to make an ironic illustration, with a fish drowning in a tin can, choking on the same plastic waste the can is wrapped in.

The growing issue of microplastics in fruits, vegetables and even sea life is not something regular people are aware of and its often unheard of.

This poster hopes to invoke a sense of shock in our food processes and design processes, and hopefully make viewers rethink what and how we consume and create.

The rejects.

The main focus of the illustration was to point out irony. The end result was a mix of two early concepts.
